My brother and I live in Hollywood, California, and are about to move into a fully open loft style apartment.
The apartment is 750 square feet and is made entirely of concrete (
Wall, floor, ceiling)
We are not allowed to drill into the floor or ceiling because the floor or ceiling will leave a hole, but for privacy reasons we would like to add two more rooms for a walk in the closet.
We wanted to put a wall on the open space in order to have a room, but since we couldn't get into the structure, we wanted to know if there was any viable option for us to be able to do that.
I thought about building a "traditional" 2x4 wall and getting it a little higher and hammering it to the spot so it's safe without having to nail/screw in place.
Is this feasible?
Is there any opinion on what we can do to accomplish what we want to do?
Any/all help would be great!
I 've also heard that there are walls like this in similar spaces in New York, but can't find anything online.
Thank you in advance for any help. -
