Imagine a school with a suspended indoor track, greenhouse, dedicated Hangouts and movable walls that allow the classroom to grow and change according to the needs of the students.
Now, imagine the school sitting next to the light rail center, the entertainment center and the world --class stadium.
This is some of the features of the new North Hamilton Middle School that was presented this week to members and public school board trustees.

The Wentworth District School Board meeting was held at the general issues committee meeting at the Town Hall on Wednesday.
Designed by Svedas and MJMA Architects, the school faces the corner of Melrose Avenue and the east of King Street and will be L-shaped. The three-
The multi-storey building will extend to Melrose and end on Cannon Street across from Tim Holden Stadium.

In the acre neighborhood, the city will build Bernie Morelli entertainment center facing the corner of cannon and balm Avenue.
A remodeled Jimmy Thompson pool will stay in the corner of the balm and the King.

"The Urban and school joint committee project is the culmination of years of intense debate that has seen multiple proposals come and go.
The final plan requires a shared green space between the city and the School Board building, if often-

"It's not like we drew a line on the property, one side of the city and the other side of the board," said board Chairman Todd White . ".
"All of these amenities are close at hand, which really shows how the organization works together.
"The school's design ideas are open and flexible.
This is very different from the traditional model, it has a row of boxedoff classrooms.
Open and multi-design
Purpose classrooms, learning and social venues, as well as amenities such as indoor runways and greenhouses.
"When you look at it, it does use the concept of open space where students can collaborate and learn," White said . ".
The most interesting features are many.
Use space that can be used as both a cafeteria and a theater.
This space will have a stage in front of the garage.

Suppose that if the cannon is closed to traffic, a public concert or event held there may extend from the stage to Tim Holden Stadium.
"This is something we can use as a school or a city," White said . ".
The project will begin immediately after the city lifts the construction freeze during the Pan American Games.
The building is expected to open to students in September 2017.
